Amiga 25th Anniversary

Coming soon, details of how we would like to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our favourite computer system. We have already spoken to a number of people and companies past and present but we want all views on how is best way to celebrate the Amiga anniversary. We have a number of ideas including, online talks, virtual showcases and local groups meeting up, plus hopefully we will organise a major linked get together in Europe and the USA in 2010.

However, the real goal of this celebration is to try and bring together all seperate parts of the Amiga community and the diferent flavours of Amiga type OS's to share and build a new future for the Amiga. I hope to arrange discussions this summer with all main players to discuss how the Amiga experience can move forward. With all those involved in the many flavours of Amiga system pulling together for the greater good, and bringing back the Amiga to the public recognition it deserves now more than ever.

The dates are to be confirmed but the main celebration is to be from the date that the Amiga 1000 first shipped which was June/July 1985.

However this summer will be the 25th Anniversary of the showing of A1000 prototype at CES in 1984.
